Jacobs was the daughter of a family who owned the Jackson Koehler Eagle Brewery, which was founded by the family in Erie Pennsylvania 1847. John Martin Magenau Jr. served as the post of CEO and President between 1978 and the time of its the brewery's closure in 1978. Jacobs began studying acting at age of 8 and attended Saturday classes in Pittsburgh Playhouse. After graduating from Mt. Jacobs was a graduate of Lebanon High School, New York in 2000.
